Colonoscopy With Biopsy for Noncancerous Growth
CPT Code 45380
A colonoscopy, using a flexible tube with a light source and camera at its inserted end to examine the colon and rectum for the cause of diarrhea, constipation, rectal bleeding, or abdominal pain. During the procedure, one or more suspicious areas of tissue are removed using biopsy forceps, which are submitted to the laboratory for analysis.
